Austin, Texas, August 9, 2004 – Motion Computing today announced the appointment of Peter D. Hunt as vice president of its value-add peripherals and software organisation.
In his new role, Hunt is responsible for ongoing development of the company’s broad, critically acclaimed line of ultramobile peripheral and software products.

Hunt joins Motion Computing from HP, where he was a key architect of several successful mobile computing programs and most recently served as director of new notebook markets. In that role, he led the engineering team that brought to market the first HP Compaq tablet PC products.
Hunt also served as director of software engineering for Fujitsu Microelectronics and Loral Computer Corp., as well as chief system software engineer for Control Data Corp.
Earlier in his career, he was principal software engineer for Computing Devices Co. and a software group leader for Marconi Avionics Co., both in the UK.
Hunt is a computing studies graduate of Mid-Kent College of Technology and went on to study computer design at the University of Kent, object-oriented design at Berkeley Extension and executive leadership at Harvard Business School.
