Motion F5 Named as Top Product by Constructech Magazine

AUSTIN, TX and Carol Stream, Ill. – Feb. 25, 2010 – Motion Computing®, a leading provider of integrated mobile computing solutions, announced today that Constructech magazine named the Motion® F5 as a winning commercial product for its third-annual Constructech top products award.

The Motion F5 Rugged Tablet PCs are showing significant jobsite improvements by delivering real-time point of construction computing. The rugged, lightweight and highly mobile PCs with a variety of integrated features including a barcode scanner, RFID reader, digital camera and wireless connectivity, are proving to lower costs, shorten project schedules and maximize quality.

Winning products were selected by the Constructech editorial team, and chosen for innovation and successful results in the marketplace. Products were selected based on the description, the overall usefulness and uniqueness of the product to the construction industry, and the customer growth rate for the particular product throughout the past few years.

“Construction professionals are looking for the solutions that can give them the most bang for their buck. They are looking to make their company better with the implementation of technology, as well as stay up with the latest trends in the construction industry,” says Mike Carrozzo, chief editor of Constructech. “The technology firms with products meeting that demand may prove to be the most successful.”

Software solutions from Motion partners Vela Systems, On Center and FreightTrain were also recognized as part of the awards program. These software solutions in combination with Motion Tablet PCs help construction users optimize productivity with technology that can be leveraged at the jobsite, or wherever else computing needs to happen.

“The products named as Constructech Top Products in the commercial sector this year come from some of the leading-edge technology providers within the construction industry,” says Peggy Smedley, editorial director of Constructech. “As today’s technology evolves, so too must the solutions available to contractors. And, these innovative solutions will drive technology initiatives into the next generation.”

The Motion F5 was also recognized as a Constructech Top Product in the residential sector, for more information visit the Constructech Top Products page.
